Local churches
St. Paul Lutheran Church (Bellville)
The St. Paul Lutheran Church Youth offer select services to Clear Fork Valley residents, at no charge. The target market is similar to that of Samaritans for Seniors. Paul Lutheran Church Youth may be a potential partner and / or referral source with Samaritans for Seniors. New Life Church (Bellville)

Area Agency on Aging PASSPORT
Richland County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) provides services that appear to be competitive in nature. The services they provide and qualifications are as follows:
Qualifications for Richland County residents:
• Must be 60 years old (or older)
• Must own their own home
• Must be current on payment of property taxes
• Must meet income guidelines (1 person @ $1,126/mo or 2 people @ $1,287/mo)
Funding may be available for these services:
• Home repairs (leaking roofs, etc.)
• Home modifications (wheel chair ramps, bathroom accessibility, etc)
• Transportation (with 72 hour notice)
It appears that there are numerous gaps in the Area Agency on Aging services / qualifiers versus Samaritans for Seniors services / qualifiers:
• Seniors may not meet AAA income guidelines
• Seniors may not own their own home
• Seniors may need transportation sooner than 72 hours
• AAA does not offer home maintenance / cleaning assistance
• Lack of compassion
• No time support (lending an ear) to seniors (especially shut-ins)
• No spiritual connections
• Need someone to trust
