We know this building at the corner of Church and Grange as the RC Museum; however its original purpose was the Lexington district school building, serving from 1850 to 1894 when the Old Red Brick was opened. My grand mother and her McIntire family attended there (Im old). It was later taken over by the Farmers Grange and became known as the Grange Hall. The Boy Scouts also used it until they got their facility down by the Park. When I grew up on Grange St, it got into very bad shape and I used to think of it as kind of spooky being unpainted, and dark at night. Im personally very happy that this historic building was saved and with the Old Red Brick gone, it makes this building even more important to the history of the town.

PS Im looking for an old picture.
