Unfortunately, the GFWS will not be able to operate again this winter due to the limits imposed by COVID-19. The State of Vermont has extended the motel program so that no one has to experience homelessness. Those seeking help can contact the Agency of Human Services in Springfield (https://humanservices.vermont.gov/about-us/field-services/springfield) or can call 211.

YOU ARE INVITED!
OPEN HOUSE AT WARMING SHELTER
WESTMINSTER, Vt. – Greater Falls Warming Shelter will hold an open house at its new facility Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The shelter is located at 7752 U.S. Route 5 in Westminster, between Golden Cross and J & W Auto.
The public is invited to stop in for coffee and doughnuts and a tour of the new location that can serve 10 men and women who are experiencing homelessness for a variety of reasons.
The mission of the GFWS is to provide a safe, warm overnight shelter during the winter months for those in need. The shelter opened November 15 and will remain open until April 15.
