Western has created a chapter dedicated to campus & community "greening" through innovative & sustainable actions. Net Impact is a leading nonprofit that empowers a new generation to use their careers to drive transformational change in both the workplace and the world. Through various campus campaigns and service projects, student members drive social and environmental change among their peers. W
estern's chapter also provides resources to help it's members develop internship and career opportunities as well as to think critically about our continuously developing world. Western Washington University's Chapter is a network of innovative, passionate students who intend to major in Business & Sustainability. This fairly new major at WWU was inspired by the professional demand for innovative students equipped with the knowledge and ability to create socially responsible business models in the corporate environment. Through Net Impact, students are given the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with their peers, who may become valuable corporate connections after graduation. With various campus sustainability projects and events proposed by the students themselves, members will gain relevant experience within their field and gain a competitive advantage over others searching for the same positions. Our members are also introduced to local business representatives, who are invited to speak on the sustainability practices implemented within their company and discuss any internship/career opportunities available.
