Western Washington University (WWU) Associated Student’s Marine Technology Club (MTC) is a university sponsored club open to students in all disciplines. The club primarily exists to create a Remotely-Operated Vehicle (ROV) to compete in the Annual international MATE ROV competition. The club also helps facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation and a forum for information about marine technology, s

cholarships, potential jobs and networking for students interested in marine science, environmental engineering, computer science, electrical and electronic engineering, business, and communications. The MTC is now partnered with the WWU Branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Oceanic Engineering Society (OES), the first ever student-run chapter of the OES, which will provide them access to more expertise and resources for building the ROV and all things related to oceanic engineering, and help create international recognition for their accomplishments.
