Kids at our Bellingham Clubhouse explored chemical reactions by making their own baking soda and vinegar rockets.

After decorating their rockets, kids put them to the test to see whose would travel the farthest. Through trial and error, they learned how the chemical reaction works and why an airtight seal is key to a successful launch.

It’s great to see kids enjoying our outdoor space again after our community came together to clean it up!

Los niños de nuestro Bellingham Club exploraron reacciones químicas haciendo sus propios cohetes de bicarbonato de sodio y vinagre.

Después de decorar sus cohetes, los pusieron a prueba para ver cuál llegaba más lejos. A través del ensayo y error, aprendieron cómo funciona la reacción química y por qué un sello hermético es clave para un lanzamiento exitoso.

Kids roll the dice at our Lynden Clubhouse!

This week, kids used dice to come up with main characters, problems, and settings to create their own stories. They ended up with some hilarious, completely out-of-this-world ideas and had a blast sharing them with each other. They even took it a step further by creating drawings to go along with their stories.

Sometimes, all you need is a little inspiration to kickstart your imagination!

Esta semana, los niños usaron dados para inventar personajes principales, problemas y escenarios para crear sus propias historias. Terminaron con ideas súper divertidas y completamente fuera de este mundo, y la pasaron genial compartiéndolas entre ellos. Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County is hosting Boys & Girls Clubs Washington State Association's annual Keystone Summit on November 7th!

This year’s theme, Ride the Ridge: Belonging & Becoming, brings teens in 8th - 12th grade together for a day of workshops, fun activities, and helpful resources focused on financial literacy, leadership, community service, wellness, life after high school, and much more.

Join us for Club Night at Western Washington University this Saturday, October 3!

Members who wear their Club shirt to the WWU Women’s Volleyball game get free admission*. Don’t have a Club shirt? No problem! We’ll be tabling outside the game entrance with free T-shirts for Club members.

Kids can also join a free volleyball clinic from 11 a.m.–12 p.m., led by the WWU Women’s Volleyball team. The clinic is open to all kids 8th Grade or younger.

Thanks to WWU athletics for welcoming our Club members and giving them opportunities to experience events like this. Go Viks!

*Please note: Parents of Club members will not receive free admission.

Check out these creative clay creatures created by kids at our Bellingham Club!

Members used air-dry clay to bring their own imaginary creatures to life. Each one came with a name and a backstory. It’s always fun to see what kids come up with when they get to use their imagination and creative freedom.

Club kids are starting the school year strong with new school supplies, thanks to The Northwest Washington Fair and Event Center and our generous community!

Community members who brought school supply donations for our Clubs received free admission to the fair, turning a trip to the fair into an opportunity to give back. Now, kids across our Clubhouses have the supplies they need for a successful school year.

Kick off the school year with Piñatas & Empanadas, our first Teen Night of the year!

Come to the Ferndale Clubhouse for a night of making empanadas, creating piñatas, eating good food, and hanging out with friends. And yes, you can bring a friend, even if they’re not a Club member.
