Today marks the last week of operations at our Sunset Early Learning Center.

Since opening our doors at Sunset in 2020, it has been a place where kids have learned, played, and grown together. We’re grateful for all the memories made and for the families and staff who made Sunset such a special part of our Early Learning program.

As we close this chapter, we’re looking forward to bringing our Early Learning operations together at Frontiers, where we can continue investing in high-quality learning experiences for the kids we serve.

Desde que abrimos las puertas en Sunset en 2020, ha sido un lugar donde los niños han aprendido, jugado y crecido juntos. Estamos muy agradecidos por todos los recuerdos y por las familias y el personal que hicieron de Sunset una parte tan especial de nuestro programa de Educación Temprana.

We blinked, and just like that, summer camp is over.

Now we’re looking back at all the fun experiences our campers had this summer, from exploring future careers as firefighters or athletes to trying something for the first time that sparks an interest.

These experiences give kids the chance to explore, get curious and build confidence outside their usual routines. They may seem like small moments, but they can help kids discover their passions, build confidence and make connections that stick with them beyond the summer.

Parpadeamos y, así de rápido, el campamento de verano se acabó. Ahora estamos recordando todas las experiencias divertidas que tuvieron nuestros campistas este verano.

Ahora estamos recordando todas las divertidas experiencias que tuvieron nuestros camperos este verano, desde explorar futuras carreras como bomberos o atletas, hasta intentar algo por primera vez que despierta un nuevo interés.

Estas experiencias les dan a los niños la oportunidad de explorar, tener curiosidad y ganar confianza fuera de su rutina diaria. Pueden parecer momentos pequeños, pero ayudan a que los niños descubran sus pasiones, desarrollen seguridad en sí mismos y formen conexiones que se quedan con ellos más allá del verano.

Designed for kindergarteners and 1st graders, our Minis division helps young players build foundational basketball skills while learning from positive and caring coaches. It’s a great way for kids to learn the game, build confidence, and have fun.

Crab boil, community, and cupcakes! Can it get any better than that?

Summer Soirée was a huge success! Together, we raised over $33,000 to support our Clubhouses across Whatcom County, creating safe, welcoming places where kids can connect and build the skills and confidence they need for a great future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a beautiful evening on the bay. And a special thank you to the community partners who helped make the night so memorable:

Opening day is here! 🎉 The Northwest Washington Fair is officially underway, and we’re kicking things off with Community Education Day!

Today, we're supporting local students, educators, and classrooms across Whatcom County. Discover two ways of receiving complimentary gate admission:

1. Complimentary Admission for School Staff: Whatcom County public, private, and tribal school employees receive complimentary gate admission with valid school credentials at Gates 1 or 5 all day.

2. Donate Back-to-School Essentials and Receive Free Admission: Members of the public can get free admission by donating four school supply items from the list below at Gates 1 or 5 between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Requested items: colored pencils, markers, Crayola crayons (especially jumbo size), washable tempera paint, glue sticks, and socks of all kids' sizes, including teens.

All donations will be distributed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County. Made possible by Trucordia.

⚾️ The Bellingham Bells became Club Kids for the day!

Bells players spent an afternoon answering questions and playing games with our summer campers. Club members enjoyed a meal thanks to Panda Express, got to know the players, and learned what it means to be a Bell. The afternoon was full of great questions, laughter, and inspiration.

Thank you, Bellingham Bells, for being great role models and showing our Club Kids what’s possible when you find something you love and go for it!

⚾️ ¡Los Bellingham Bells se convirtieron en chicos del Club por un día!

Los jugadores de los Bells pasaron una tarde respondiendo preguntas y jugando con nuestros niños del campamento de verano. Los miembros del Club disfrutaron de una comida gracias a Panda Express, conocieron a los jugadores y aprendieron lo que significa ser un Bell. Animals as Natural Therapy visits the Ferndale Clubhouse!

Kids got to feed and hold chickens, pet bunnies, hug a mule, and brush goats. For many, it was their very first time interacting with these animals.
