Happy Last Day of School! 🥳

⏰Today is early release (12:20). Our awesome 5th graders will walk the halls one last time and we will celebrate them with the traditional parade on the blacktop around 12-12:10. If you're able to, come join us to help cheer on these amazing kids as they complete their time at Happy Valley and get ready for their journey to Middle School!

🕵️‍♀️Lost & Found: today is Last Call for all remaining items! If you don't collect it today, it will be gone. All remaining items will be donated!

📸Yearbooks: ✨our INCREDIBLE 25-26 yearbooks were distributed to all students this week. They should have come home already or are coming home today. Reach out to the office staff or [email protected] if you have any questions. Thank you to our Move-a-Thon donors for making it possible for us to provide a free yearbook to all students and staff! This year's book is full of pictures and amazing memories!

If your Hornet is doing any activities or camps this summer, don't forget the most important part of preparation: Labeling your items!! If you purchase labels through our special Name Bubbles link, Happy Valley PTA will get a percentage back as a donation. Anyone can use our link to purchase labels, so please share it. There are so many uses such as daycare, elder care, family labels for travel, etc. We are buying a batch to label all of our supplies at school. Check out all the cute designs and pick up a pack during their summer sale.

We are gearing up for Happy Valley Play Day on June 11th! Play Day is like Field Day, but BIGGER!

Students will participate in up to 25 different stations, using a passport along the way to guide their experience. Event stations will be located on the field, blacktop, covered area, and gym.

Families are welcome to join during their child's timeslot:
-PK-2nd grade at 8:45-9:30
-3rd-5th grade at 9:30-10:15
If you stop by for Play Day, our visitor check-in area will be located outside to keep the front office congestion-free.

Most stations will be entirely managed by 5th grade volunteers, but a few stations and other tasks could use additional adult support. LAST CALL for Lost & Found! On the last day of school (this Friday) 🎉all clothing items left on the Lost & Found racks will be Lost Forever! Abandoned items will be washed and donated. So, now is the time to visit the school and search the racks. We highly recommend that you look on behalf of your students, as they tend to glaze over and not see their cherished hoodie staring right at them on the rack. Come reclaim your gear! 🧥👕🧤🧢

Congratulations to all the Happy Valley alumni graduating this weekend! They returned to the Happy Valley halls and were cheered on by all our current students, and they even enjoyed a little extracurricular time with Mrs. Flink in the gym! We are so proud of all of you!

For those Happy Valley families interested in Wild Whatcom programs for next school year: registration opens Monday, June 1st.

Wild Whatcom will be picking up from HV on Mondays and Tuesdays again for the 26-27 school year. Fall session will be offered Sept 7 - Dec 14. Visit the Wild Whatcom website to learn more and register.

Are you ready to BUZZ into SUMMER? It's our last community event of the year, the annual Spring Fling, a Happy Valley Tradition! Hey, artists of Happy Valley! We are looking for a few folks to help with a face painting station at the Spring Fling next Friday!
Kids will be given a choice from 4 sample designs (rainbow, bee, caterpillar, or fox), all supplies will be provided, and you can choose to help for half hour, hour, or more - whatever suits your schedule! We have a volunteer coordinating the station - we just need a couple people to help out so more kids can enjoy having their face painted for the event.
