Hi friends of the Outback! We have a week filled with exciting activities open to all students, staff, alumni, and community members. We hope you’ll be able to come out to the farm and join us for one or more of these events.

Wednesday, 5/29, 4-6pm: Special Forest Garden Work Party
Help Permaculture Coordinator Reign prepare the Forest Garden for summer! We will be tending to the berry patches and paths leading to the fruit trees and herbs. Come lend a hand, get a little dirty, and enjoy some good company, fresh air, and bird song!

Thursday, 5/30, 5-8pm: Outback Revival, hosted by Clayton Pierce’s Food Justice class
Grab your friends and head down to the Outback Farm to enjoy live music, free food, and shop local vendors. The event will be a fundraising party in support of the farm and food pantries on campus. No one will be turned away for a lack of funds, but there will be suggested donations for zines, face paintings, and more!

Saturday, 6/1, 1-2:30pm: Get To Know Our Native Bees Workshop
In this workshop with Jillian Johns, community beekeeer, we will learn about the fascinating biology of and the important ecosystem role played by our native pollinators.
