What a beautiful, bustling day at Love2Hope today. ❤️
From the moment we arrived, the lines were already forming. Over 120 people came today along with their beloved pets, seeking food, warmth, pet supplies, and hope. Despite the overwhelming crowd, everyone waited patiently and respectfully for their turn. Three long lines stretched across the area — one for food, one for supplies, and one for veterinary care.
The food line seemed endless.
The supply area was overflowing with people searching for warm clothing, shoes, blankets, and sleeping bags to survive another difficult week outside. Twelve large bags filled with clothing, shoes, and blankets disappeared within just 30 minutes. The pet food went just as quickly — especially cat food and cat litter, which are always in desperate demand.
When we arrived, our truck was completely packed with donations and pet supplies. By the end of the popup clinic, it was nearly empty.
Our veterinary line was also very long. Many dogs and cats were waiting to be seen by Dr. Jordan. Because the popup clinic only lasts one hour, only about five to six animals can be seen each Sunday. Our first priority will always be unhoused pets, followed by very low-income families who simply cannot afford veterinary care. Even though they have housing, many are struggling deeply and are forced to choose between paying bills, buying food, or helping their sick pets.
We never want an animal to suffer simply because their family is poor.
Love2Hope will continue trying our best to help as many animals as we can with the limited resources we have. If your pet only needs vaccinations and it is not urgent, we kindly ask very low-income families to wait for our free vaccination clinic coming this July.
Right now, the need is overwhelming.
Every single week we hand out dry dog food, wet dog food, dry cat food, wet cat food, and cat litter — yet there is still never enough, especially for cats. The shelves empty almost immediately.
If you are able to help, please consider donating pet food, especially cat food and cat litter. Donations can be dropped off every Sunday between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM at 215 N Commercial Street.
Last but not least, thank you so much to our amazing volunteers and Dr. Jordan for your continued dedication, sacrifice, and kindness in helping to serve the unhoused community and their pets. ❤️
Thank you for standing with Love2Hope and supporting our mission. ❤️
