Join us for our next community conversation with Suzanne Michel, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services, as we discuss the programs, supports, and services many students and families rely on every day across Bellingham Public Schools.

This conversation will cover IEPs, 504 plans, in-district programming, classroom supports, and the role these services play in helping students succeed while keeping more students supported within our district.

We’ll also discuss what the future could look like if student services are significantly reduced and why these conversations matter for families, educators, and the broader community.

Attention all families attending the Annual Spring Town Meeting on Wednesday, May 27th; free babysitting will be available at Bellingham High School thanks to BHS National Honor Society student volunteers and staff support.

We wanted to share this now as families make plans heading into the holiday weekend.

📍 Bellingham High School – Lecture Hall
🕖 Drop-off starts at 7:00 PM
🕢 Town Meeting begins at 7:30 PM
🎬 Children will watch a movie and are welcome to bring a small toy or stuffy.

Every snack and drink sold directly supports the Bellingham music program—helping provide instruments, opportunities, and experiences for our students. With state budget cuts impacting the next couple of years, every single dollar truly makes a difference.

We are so proud of our students and music program! Gold medals for the BHS Concert Band and 8th Grade Band. First time gold medal for the 8th Grade Band! Bronze medal for the BHS Chorus. Huge thank you to all the volunteers that made MICCA weekend 2026 a success! Music is an important part of Bellingham’s school system and a comprehensive education for all.
