Rare : Displayed at the Concours of the 2026 Porsche Parade in Lake Placid, NY, was this true 1965 912, constructed about July '65 with a painted dash and three gauges in the 356 tradition. In the Torkelsen family since new, an uncle took delivery at the Porsche factory, and drove it around Europe for several months. Original engine and interior, original Champagne Yellow. As part of the 60 Years in America Celebration, Porsche encouraged owners of cars spanning 12 model ranges to enter their cars for a shot at earning the ‘oldest’ designation originally delivered to America for their respective car model. This 912 was found to be the earliest know 912 delivered to America. (Note the "60 Years" badge on the engine grille).
