The Creators & Innovators Club for Girls We're an all-girls middle school club, exploring our world through robotics and STEM Will you join us?!

This after-school STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Design and Math) program is being developed for girls who are historically underrepresented in technology and science fields. The club is in our third year at Kulshan Middle School (Bellingham WA), and is the first one of its kind. Combining elements of robotics along with the arts, participants in the Creators and Innovators Program f

or girls will use technology and robotics in new and creative ways by integrating exciting themes like theater, music, clothing design and art. The original estimate for girls in the pilot program was 5-10 students, but we have averaged over 65 girls attending (1/5 of the middle school’s female population), and more than 20 women from WWU and the greater community have volunteered.
