I am more powerful than all the combined armies of the world.

I have maimed and destroyed more men, women and children than all the wars of all the nations.

I devastate and massacre thousands of people, each and every year.

I am more deadly than bullets and have wrecked more homes than the mightiest guns.

I spare NO ONE.

My victims are among the rich and the poor, the young and the old, the strong and weak. Widows know me, I am their everlasting sorrow.

I loom up in such proportions that I cast my shadow among every field of endeavor.

I also lurk in unseen places and do most of my work silently.

You are warned against me, yet you do not heed me.

I am relentless, merciless and cruel.

I am everywhere… in the forest and grassland, in homes and schools, offices and factories, high rises, boats, cars and planes, on land, sea and in the air.

I am vicious, I bring degradation and DEATH.

Some seek out to destroy me.

I will crush you

I will maim you, I will devastate and rob you of everything you have. I will take your life and the ones you love.

I am your worst enemy.

I am FIRE.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and while we wish you a happy holiday, we are also here to remind you that this is the most dangerous day of the year for cooking accidents and home fires due to cooking mishaps. Stay in the kitchen if you are cooking, and make sure no little hands can reach anything hot on the stove or counters.
