What a night! 🎬

Last Thursday we headed to for a screening of RBG and it did not disappoint. Watching Justice Ginsburg's story alongside so many incredible women was the perfect way to spend a Thursday evening. There were laughs, there were tears, and a whole lot of inspiration in that room.

Every ticket sold went directly toward supporting WWiB and the programs and opportunities we create for women in our community. So beyond a great night out, you helped make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who came! 🙏

We're already thinking about the next one... drop your documentary suggestions in the comments! 👇

Running on empty? Navigating high-pressure seasons? Ready to lead with more clarity and intention?

Our next meeting is for you.

Join Whatcom Women in Business for our April 2026 meeting, featuring an engaging and science-backed talk on stress, leadership, and Somatic Breathwork with Romay Nichols .spire.somatics.

Stress doesn't just wear you down... it quietly shapes the way you make decisions, show up, and lead. Romay will unpack the neuroscience behind burnout and chronic stress before walking us through breathwork practices you can actually use in real time. The kind that reset your nervous system, reduce reactivity, and help you lead from a calm, grounded place, even when everything is demanding your attention at once.

If you're a businesswoman in Whatcom County and you don't know about this group, keep reading👇

Finding your people as a professional woman is harder than anyone talks about. The rooms that are actually worth being in? You usually only find out about them through word of mouth.

This is your word of mouth :-)

Whatcom Women in Business has been quietly building one of the most powerful networks of women in this county since 1978. Every month: good food, real conversations, and women who actually want to see each other win.

This month's meeting was a mixer at the Golf and Country Club. Card games, caramelized salmon that made the whole room go silent, and more laughter than a Tuesday night has any right to have.

And every year, WWIB awards scholarships to Whatcom County women pursuing their education. Applications close end of March.

Don't let it pass you by.

Skip the small talk! This month we’re diving into real conversations.

Join Whatcom Women in Business for our March 2026 meeting, featuring a dynamic and interactive networking experience focused on Icebreaking Conversations.

Instead of our usual speaker format, this month’s event will feature structured small-group rotations using thoughtful prompt cards designed to spark vulnerability, laughter, and real talk. In a world where so much communication happens through screens, this evening is all about strengthening the power of genuine human connection.

Through guided prompts and engaging dialogue, you’ll have the chance to meet new members, practice meaningful conversation, and build deeper relationships in a relaxed and supportive environment. Expect thoughtful questions, fresh insights, and plenty of opportunities to connect beyond surface-level networking.

Whether you're looking to strengthen your networking skills, build new professional friendships, or simply enjoy meaningful conversation with fellow women in business, this evening is designed for you.

Last night was pure creative magic! If you were in the room, you know...

From guided meditation… to choosing our 2026 word of the year… to painting our totem animals and symbols… vision turned into color!

Lili gave us a beautiful experience.

We laughed, we got quiet, we got messy with watercolor, and we left with something tangible to anchor the year ahead.

There’s something special that happens when ambitious women slow down long enough to connect with their future selves, and with each other.

If you were there, drop your word of the year below 👇

What moment stuck with you most?

And if you missed it… this is your sign to join us next time!

We're asking you to think of HER.

The woman who quietly carries rooms with integrity.
The one mentoring younger women without posting about it.
The founder building something real...
The leader who gives back because she believes in this community.

We all know at least one.

The Professional Woman of the Year Awards by Whatcom Women in Business exist to make sure those women are seen, celebrated, and honored publicly.

3–5 women will be recognized this year for:

• Leadership
• Business excellence
• Mentorship
• Community impact

The celebration is September 25, 2026 at Evergreen Gardens - but nominations close March 1.

If someone came to mind while reading this, let's make sure she gets her flowers.

Continue the year in motion and bring it to life through creativity!

Join Whatcom Women in Business for our February 2026 meeting, featuring WWiB member Lili McGovern, CEO & Founder of Powerful JOY, LLC.

In this immersive, hands-on art workshop, Lili will guide us from intention into embodiment, transforming your 2026 vision into tangible creative energy through a collaborative watercolor experience. This session builds directly on January’s goal-setting work and helps anchor your motivations for the year ahead.

The evening will open with a guided meditation to identify your 2026 word of the year, totem animal, and personal guiding symbol. You’ll leave with a personalized watercolor piece and a practical self-coaching tool to help you stay aligned, grounded, and inspired as the year unfolds.

Meet the women shaping the year ahead with you!

We’re excited to introduce the 2026 WWiB Executive Board, a group of leaders bringing fresh energy, experience, and heart to our mission of supporting women in business across Whatcom County.

As we welcome new leadership, we also want to thank Grace Peschek for three years of impactful service as President, along with our outgoing board members whose dedication helped shape WWiB into what it is today.

Stay tuned ✨
