𝗥𝗘: On Thursday, April 9th, 2026, Aurora Police Department Officers in Aurora, Colorado responded to a call involving a suspect experiencing a mental health crisis. Officer Mark Moore and his K9 partner, Cyrus, responded to assist with establishing a perimeter after the suspect made violent threats. While on that perimeter, the suspect fled his home armed with a large knife. The suspect then charged Mark and stabbed him in the head repeatedly, leaving him unconscious with severe injuries.

Mark has undergone several surgeries, including emergency surgery immediately following the incident. K9 Cyrus suffered from a small stab wound to his shoulder that required stitches and an overnight stay at the veterinarian clinic. He has since been released, and Mark has been moved to a rehab facility after an eight-day stay in the hospital.

The road to recovery is far from over for Mark, his wife, and family. This fundraiser has been established to support the Moore family during this incredibly difficult time and the long road to recovery ahead.

All donations will go directly to the Moore family to ensure their needs are met through this life-changing time.
