Womxn's March on Bellingham

Womxn's March on Bellingham Women's March on Bellingham - Admin page Our message is bold: womxn’s rights are human rights! HEAR OUR VOICE! The march is just the first step.

MISSION: The womxn of Bellingham, our neighboring areas, and our allies will march the streets of our subdued city, January 21st, 2017. We march in solidarity, raising our collective voice, and lifting up the most marginalized among us recognizing that this new administration will affect us all in different ways. This march is the first step toward unifying our communities, grounded in new relatio

nships, to create change from the grassroots level up. We call on all defenders of human rights and all feminist people, including men and boys, to join this movement of marches around the country and world as we lift the rally cry: WE STAND TOGETHER. Schedule:
10:00 Participate in 1@1 event (minute of silence/intention) wherever you are www.1at1.org gather/sign-making
10-10:30 Gather at Bellingham City Hall, 210 Lottie St., & get/make a sign if you don't have one
10:30 speakers, poets, musicians
11:00 MARCH
12:00 speakers, poets, musicians & Community Connections Fair

Our march will consist of a one mile peaceful march of unity. We are not releasing the route, as we are hoping to minimize disruptions this way, but the route will be easy to follow and lead marchers on a loop through downtown Bellingham ending back at City Hall. At our Community Connections Fair following the march you will have the opportunity to connect with local organizations and activists who are working to make a difference in Whatcom County. Join us in building new relationships and learning how you can support the ongoing work of organizations here in our community.
