This is my go-to winter glove set-up ~ thick, hand knit, wooly mitts, layered over inexpensive, nitrile, work gloves. Keeps my hands warm & my fingers accessible (& water-resistant). I made these mitts a couple years ago & they’re still going strong.

I’ve shared lots of these mitts at the pantry & when doing outreach & they’re always appreciated, BUT they really work best when layered. So, it’s nice to have gloves to distribute at the same time. If anyone wants to pick up a few pairs of this style of work gloves to drop off at the pantry, that would be amazing! They’re available at pretty much any hardware store (I got these at Hardware Sales, but I think Harbor Freight probably has the lowest prices.) A variety of sizes would be ideal so people can choose what fits them best.

Let me know if you’re planning to drop some off ~ I’ll make sure there are mittens to go with them ♥️
