On this day, September 11, we honor the incredible bravery of ordinary Americans who became heroes. In 2001, in the face of unthinkable tragedy, our firefighters and police officers displayed unmatched heroism by rushing into danger to save lives.

Let us never forget the sacrifices made by U.S. citizens and service members on this day that remain etched in our hearts and minds.
