These are the most recent graduates from Build a Bike spring 2026. I can’t believe WheelLab has been offering 10 years of programs to youth who need it most. That’s over 50 program opportunities, 550 youth in programs, and 2300 bicycles saved from the landfill. Been a long/fun road and we still have miles to ride. Thanks to all who have supported over the years. Here’s to another 10!

Had a great final day of create a bike with the kiddos from hidden village boys and girls clubs of Bellevue! They were a really fun group and they learned a lot of new things: here are some quotes: “I learned how to use new tools like the Allen wrench” “I learned how to use a racket!” “Triangle are really strong!”

Stay tuned for some new designs as the modular kit is almost complete!

Started a new create a bike class with some students from hidden village boys and girls clubs of Bellevue! They had an intro to engineering and design basics and will soon be creating their own bikes designing tinkercad. We have developed some new parts for the modular bike and looking forward to seeing what new builds the kids come up with. Stay tuned! 🚴🚴‍♀️

Finished our fall program today with the spiritwood manor boys and girls in the pouring rain. Man, it was wet but the kids and I still had fun. It was a lively group these past six weeks but they got their bikes done. Proud of this crew. Now everyone has some new wheels for the new year!
