سازمان پیوند درگذشت دکتر ایرج خادمی پدر فرهنگی جامعه ایرانی سیاتل را به خانواده، دوستان و دوستداران محترم ایشان تسلیت عرض کرده، برای ایشان آرامش ابدی آرزو دارد.
دکتر خادمی، بنیانگذار کارگاه شعر و موسیقی سیاتل، بزرگ مردی بود که با تأثيرگذارى كم نظير، نه تنها در حفظ فرهنگ غنی پارسی می کوشید بلکه فرهنگ جامعه خویش را نیز ارتقا بخشید.
خدمات ایشان را پاس داشته و در ادامه راه ایشان و در پرتو آموزه هایشان گام برمی داریم.
بزرگداشت دکتر ایرج خادمی روز پنجشنبه 18 آگوست از ساعت 7 تا 9 شب در سالن 130 در تالار کین دانشگاه واشنگتن برگزار خواهد شد.

Successfully kicked off our 2020 Winter season with our dear speaker Dr. Afshin Sepehri on The Shahnameh, a Textual Criticism. What an awesome speech! We had a great turnout as well, a 126 strong and what an great crowd they were.

Special thanks to Artin Toumaj who serenaded us with his cool beats and vocal and thanks to all those who recited poems including Aidin Behroozi, Faranak Sorooshian, Golbanoo Ghavami, Nazanin Nazemi, Somayeh Dadgari, Tarannom Azari and Yahya Kazemi

We also had the privilege to welcome and hear beautiful words from one of our very well-known Iranian Film directors Alireza Raisian (Nominee: Crystal Simorgh for Best Director - National Competition) as well as our very talented Siamak Shirazi / سیامک شیرازی

Last but not least, thanks to EVERYONE who contributed delicious bites and made the workshop that much more delightful!

We take this opportunity to welcome you to the winter season of Seattle Poetry and Music Workshop for an informative conversation about the history of Shahnameh's textual criticism. We start the new decade and the year 2020 with a much needed awareness of our cultural heritage and ways to cherish and protect them.

Topic: The Shahnameh, a Textual Criticism

We are excited to announce an enlightening lecture about the historical roots of the Persian literature as subject of scholastic researches and studies in the academic institutions. This session will follow with the Q&A session :

Topic: : From Daneshkadeh to the Faculty of Letters: The Formation of Persian Literary History in Iran (1916-1935)

Speaker: Dr. Aria Fani, is assistant professor of Persian and Iranian Studies at the University of Washington His scholarly articles have been published in journals such as Iranian Studies, Iran Nameh, and TRANS. He also writes columns on Persian literature and immigration rights advocacy for Peyk, a bilingual magazine based in San Diego, California.
