Congratulations to Amber Huang, MD, Class of 2022, on matching into a competitive Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University! 🎉

Dr. Huang currently serves as surgery chief resident at the Swedish First Hill Surgery Residency Program in Seattle. For her next chapter, she’ll head to OHSU to gain advanced subspecialty training at Oregon’s only academic Level 1 trauma center.

We’re proud to celebrate the continued growth and accomplishments of our WSU College of Medicine graduates. Congratulations, Dr. Huang, on this exciting next step! 🩺❤️

Every year, Bellevue Sunrise Rotary Club hosts a Speed Croquet Tournament & Auction to raise funds for the projects and causes we support. We meet with our guests on a Wednesday in the Summer at Marymoor Park in Redmond. It’s a day full of good-natured competition, socializing with family and friends, and bidding at a live auction featuring cool stuff, such as fabulous getaway tours in exotic locations like Italy and Spain, world renowned Village Theatre tickets, fine vintage wines, gourmet dining experiences, day boating trip and stays at beautiful hotels. Official check-in is 1:00 PM for this year's event at Marymoor Park on August 12, 2026. Grounds open at noon, complimentary beverages and snacks will be available. Join us next Tuesday, March 31, from 7:00–8:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites in Bellevue for a refreshing morning of fellowship and connection. As spring gets into full swing, this will be a great opportunity to catch up with one another and share what’s ahead—whether it’s travel plans, projects, or simply the pace of a busy season. These gatherings are the heartbeat of our club, and your presence helps keep that energy strong.

We’ll also spend a few minutes looking ahead to our Annual Fundraising Event on August 12. While it may feel early, a little thoughtful planning now goes a long way toward another successful year. In addition, we’re pleased to welcome our friend and incoming President of Bellevue Breakfast Rotary, Martin Clavillo, who will share an update on the Colombia Beach Clean-Up Project. As you may recall, our club was proud to support this effort, and Martin has just returned with firsthand insights and results from the trip.
