Powering the Chapter Together:
Why Volunteering is Where the Fun Begins!

Greetings fellow Chapter Members,

The Puget Sound Region is launching an exciting new push to expand member involvement, introduce fresh ideas, and make volunteering more rewarding than ever.

In a new article on the Chapter website, PSR Board Vice President Darko Spoljaric shares how volunteers are the driving force behind many of the events and experiences that make our Chapter special – from driving tours and HPDE weekends to social gatherings and technical events.

The article also introduces the new Volunteer Tab on the Chapter website, where members can easily view upcoming volunteer opportunities, select roles, and sign up online.

And yes, volunteering now comes with rewards. Every volunteer activity earns points through the Chapter’s Volunteer Recognition Program, with points accumulating toward prizes and recognition throughout the year. The grand prize? A trip to the unforgettable BMW ///M driving experience.

The article also encourages members to involve younger family members and volunteer together as a way to share the BMW passion across generations while building lasting memories within the Chapter community.

Read the full article on the PSR website here and discover how you can get involved, meet fellow members, and help shape the future of the Chapter.

Cheers,

Burgers & BMWs Event Thank You!

Greetings fellow Chapter Members,

A huge thank you to everyone from the BMW CCA Puget Sound Chapter who joined us on Saturday May 9th for the Burgers & BMWs gathering at Black Raven Brewing Company!

The incredible turnout, outstanding variety of BMWs, and enthusiastic conversations made for a fantastic afternoon filled with great cars, camaraderie, food, and local craft beer. Events like this are a reminder of what makes our Chapter so special – passionate enthusiasts, lasting friendships, and a shared love for the Ultimate Driving Machine.

This year’s event also introduced several new ideas aimed at making our social gatherings even more engaging and rewarding for the community. Based on feedback from last year’s event, we recognized how much members appreciated receiving a complimentary beverage ticket as a thank you for supporting the Club, and we were excited to continue that tradition with Black Raven. New additions this year included event-specific print-on-demand t-shirts and the removal of the entry fee to create an even more welcoming and accessible atmosphere for both members and guests. Thank you to the members whose ideas and feedback helped shape these improvements.

Burgers & BMWs also marked the first major social event featuring participation in the Chapter’s new Volunteer Recognition and Rewards Program. A special shout-out goes to Dan, Chris, Michael, and Kevin, who stepped up to assist with event setup, parking coordination, and tear down. Through their efforts, they earned invitations to the volunteer appreciation luncheon in December, credit toward Club apparel rewards, and entries toward the grand prize drawing for a trip to the BMW Performance Center in Thermal, California, courtesy of one of the program’s sponsors, Tommy Bahama.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped create such a fun, energetic, and welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you at the next BMW CCA Puget Sound Chapter event!

Cheers,
