A special thanks to our own Dolphin Custodians, Mr. James, Mike, and Thomas! Thank you for all you do.

On National Custodian Day, we recognize the dedicated professionals who keep our schools, workplaces and public spaces clean, healthy, organized and running smoothly. We are so grateful to our custodians who are an essential part of our BSD community!

Be sure to show some love to the custodians in your community or give them a shoutout in our comments!

NHE is scheduled for our state-mandated vision and hearing screening on Thursday, October 8. We are looking for up to 15 parent volunteers to help make the day run smoothly.

We will need 6–8 volunteers to assist with hearing screenings. A brief training session will be provided approximately 30 minutes before screening begins. Please arrive by 7:40 AM

Additional volunteers will help as:

Student escorts
Scribes
Crowd control/support
Your help is greatly appreciated and plays an important role in making the screening process efficient and successful for our students.

On Monday, May 25, 2026, all schools and district offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Tuesday, May 26, is a non-school day.

Memorial Day is a national holiday dedicated to honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country. Originally known as Decoration Day, this tradition began during the American Civil War, when communities placed flowers on the graves of fallen soldiers. As we enjoy the day with family and friends, let us also take a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
