REDMOND THIS SATURDAY 9–11 AM: Rescue Rigs in the Ferrari Section! 🚨

This Saturday, King County Search & Rescue is rolling into Exotics at Redmond Town Center for a special first-time “Rescue” display - along with friends from King County Explorer Search and Rescue (ESAR), Washington State Animal Response Team (WASART), Redmond Police, and Redmond Fire.

And yes… rescue rigs will be in the Special Section normally reserved for Ferraris. 😎

Come see the vehicles built for a different kind of performance - the kind that shows up when someone is missing, stranded, injured, or in need of help.

Behind every Search and Rescue response are volunteers who give far more than their time.

Many use their own vehicles, purchase and maintain their own equipment, pay for their own fuel, and even customize their rigs so they can better respond when someone needs help.

They do it because when the call comes, a life may be at stake — and somewhere, a loved one is waiting, praying, and hoping for good news.

This is an example of that dedication!

Your Chance to Hear Some Untold Stories Behind Search & Rescue

The calls.
The terrain.
The helicopters.
The volunteers who drop everything.
The stories we usually can’t fully tell.

Because of our work with the Sheriff’s Office, there are limits to what can be shared publicly — but at SARposium, you’ll get a rare inside look at what it takes to bring loved ones home.

You’ll meet the volunteers.
You’ll hear real rescue stories.
You’ll see SAR helicopters and search drones up close.
You’ll experience a little of what it feels like when the mission call comes in.

And yes… there will be great food, live music, door prizes, and a whole lot of vicarious adventure. 🌮🎶🚁

🚨 Today is the Big Give. 🚨
And most people don’t realize this…

When a child goes missing in a neighborhood…
When someone with dementia doesn’t make it home…
When a hiker is lost in the mountains…

King County 4x4 Search & Rescue drops everything and responds.

24/7.
In the dark.
In the rain.
On roads and terrain most vehicles can’t reach.

But here’s what people often don’t see:

We are 100% volunteer.
We use our own vehicles.
We pay for our own gas.
We supply much of our own gear.
And we never charge the people who need us.

Our service is free.
But it is not free to run.

Today, please consider giving - and check whether your company offers matching donation funds. Your gift may go twice as far.

You may never need us.
But if you — or someone you love — ever does…

We’ll be there.

Even sharing this post helps more than you know. ❤️

We’re Ready Before You Know You’re Lost

Late spring through early fall, our Rapid Alpine Deployment Team (RAD) is out at local trailheads on weekends and holidays - connecting with hikers, sharing safety tips, and standing ready for a fast hasty response if a mission comes in.

We love meeting the community before there’s an emergency.

So if you see us at the trailhead, come say hi!

We’d love to hear where you’re headed and wish you a safe adventure.

05/02/2026

You see the bright shirts, the unit patches, and the rigs at the trailhead—now, come see what happens behind the radio call. 🛰️⛰️
Ever wonder what actually happens after you press the SOS button or call 9-1-1 when injured or lost? Our teams spend thousands of hours training for those moments, but the strategy, tech, and heart that go into a mission usually stay behind the scenes.

We’re pulling back the curtain at SARposium 2026, and we want you there. No rescue gear required—just an appetite and a love for the PNW. 🌲

Whether you’re a climber, hiker, or just curious about what we do, come hang out with us!

The Vibe:

🌮 Full Taco Bar & Beer/Wine: Grab a drink and a plate.

🔍 Mission Insights: Hear us and our peers share stories on how we bring loved ones home.

🤝 Meet the Teams: Connect with the volunteers who have your back in the backcountry. Members of YOUR UNIT NAME will be there! Come stop by and say hi.

What if your next hot tub could save a life?

Not metaphorically.
Literally.

This April, when you buy a hot tub, swim spa, or sauna from Olympic Hot Tub, a portion goes directly to King County Search & Rescue, the volunteers who drop everything to find the lost, rescue the injured, and bring people home.

We aren’t paid responders.
We’re your neighbors. Your Co-Workers. Your friends. People who show up when it matters most.

And right now… We need you.

We have a goal: $18,000 in April

So if you’ve been thinking about:
✔️ A hot tub for relaxation
✔️ A swim spa for fitness
✔️ A sauna for health

This is your moment.
Same purchase… completely different impact.

Because now it doesn’t just benefit you -
it helps save lives.

📍 Shop through Olympic Hot Tub this month
