Cascade chapter daughters participated in Mercer Island Summer Celebration for the 2nd year, marching in the parade where we gave away 200 American flags and a booth where we gave away 70 books on the Revolutionary War for all ages and other Patriot items. Great Day!

Cascade Chapter celebrated America250! by donating a commemorative plaque on a park bench in Mercerdale Park,
Mercer Island WA on July 4th! Attended by State Regent Lynne Stallcop, Mercer Island Mayor David Rosenbaum with SAR Color Guard.

Cascade Chapter participated in Mercer Girls Chapter’s America 250! Event by helping to place 250 flags on veterans graves at Crown Hill Cemetery in Seattle. What an honor!

Visited the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School last week. At the Senior Awards Program I presented our Chapter Mountain to Mountain award, the State of Washington Ella Mae Grimes Memorial Scholarships, visited my adopted classroom, participated in the America250! Community Service Project and attended the Graduation Ceremony.
