Cascade Chapter participated in Mercer Girls Chapter’s America 250! Event by helping to place 250 flags on veterans graves at Crown Hill Cemetery in Seattle. What an honor!

Visited the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School last week. At the Senior Awards Program I presented our Chapter Mountain to Mountain award, the State of Washington Ella Mae Grimes Memorial Scholarships, visited my adopted classroom, participated in the America250! Community Service Project and attended the Graduation Ceremony.

Cascade Daughters, Colleen Foss and Jeanne Anacker, were thrilled to attend the Susan Woodin Chapter’s America 250! Liberty Tree dedication at DeYoung Park in Woodinville on Saturday. It was a wonderful event and a beautiful day to celebrate! Congratulations to the Susan Woodin Chapter!

Your Chapter Regent has *NOT* sent you an email asking you to buy gift cards!!

Please be aware that these scammers are extremely smart and cunning.

The fake email addresses and the use of DAR-like terminology make it difficult to tell, but it’s a lie!!

It keeps happening! You need to keep ignoring it.
Today’s version sounds completely reasonable (but is totally FAKE):

Dear

How are you doing? Are you available for assistance? I am out of the state now, and I have absolute confidence in you to handle this. The Chapter

of the NSDAR needs to purchase gift cards to make donations to Veterans in Hospice and Palliative care units to buy coronavirus disease (COVID-19) prevention items. I'm responsible for the reimbursement. Would you like further information?
