Be Bold for Change, is a non-profit organization formed by Kate Isler and Nickie Smith, who realized there was an unsatiated appetite to hear stories to inspire the next generation of women, a need to surface and celebrate little known women changemakers who leading programs to close the gender gap. Be Bold Now, is our annual community event, and a forum to highlight the opportunities for people t

o get involved and support women’s causes in Seattle and, starting 2023, in London. The aim of the organization is to build an intersectional community of women and their allies, who share the same philosophy to inspire, empower and support each other to take bold pragmatic action to accelerate gender parity. Together we can help embolden all women and girls to advance and unleash their limitless potential to fulfill their dreams and drive equality forward. Our endeavor is to create a digital showcase of women, both extraordinary and ordinary, who dared to be bold, battling numerous challenges with grit and persistence to achieve their goals. We will look to publish and promote stories of women and girls of all ages, creeds, abilities, and origins whether they be business pioneers, leaders in the community or rising stars in companies, schools, and colleges. We will invite these women to join us for our annual celebration.

Be Bold Now Seattle 2026 brought together an incredible community of women and allies to share stories, exchange ideas, and support one another in the spirit of Give to Gain.

Something powerful happened in the room on March 4.
We gathered for the 11th annual Be Bold Now Seattle celebration, and what unfolded was more than an event. Our speakers shared real stories.
Jen Barnes showed how recognizing the opportunity in women’s sports can create entirely new pathways.
Kristen Smith Dayley and Rowaida Janbaz shared deeply personal journeys of resilience, determination, and the courage.
Our Be Bold Girls USA gave us a powerful reminder that the future is ready to lead.
Dr. Nwando Anyaoku, MD, MPH, MBA spoke about stepping fully into leadership — using her experience, voice, and insight to support women.
Rebekah Bastian brought clarity and optimism to the conversation about AI and women’s future.
And Lei Wang 🎤 left the room with a message that resonated deeply: Choose courage before confidence.
Throughout the evening, our extraordinary host MJ DePalma wove the stories together — creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and electric.
CYPHERQueenz closed the house down with their bold breakdance performance.
In the spirit of the International Women’s Day theme “Give to Gain,” the room came alive through our Bold Exchange.
Stories were shared. Connections were made. Opportunities were offered.
That’s how community is built.
