What does real change look like?

When families in our pilot Family Support Program first started the program, nearly half were at risk of homelessness. Six months later? Every single one was in stable housing.

But that's just the beginning:
📈 Employment rose from 44% to 78%.
🎓 Education enrollment more than doubled.
💰 Median household income increased by 53%.
💪 100% of families increased their self-sufficiency

This is what happens when families are met with consistent, personalized support and the belief that they are capable of defining their own success. Read the full story at the link below.

Join us at the Step Up to the Plate Benefit Luncheon for a candid and eye-opening conversation with Bellevue School District's Superintendent Dr. Kelly Aramaki, our Executive Director Jennifer Fischer, and Bellevue School District's Chief Operating Officer Dr. Heather Sanchez, as they shine a light on what poverty looks like for more than 5,000 children in our community.

This is an important opportunity to hear how local families are being impacted and why showing up matters. Reserve your seat and be part of the conversation on Tuesday, April 28. Check out the link below.

With Spring Break around the corner, we wanted to shout out our friends at Kalos Church for volunteering and helping prepare Breaktime-Mealtime™ grocery store food vouchers for distribution to Bellevue students experiencing food insecurity. These vouchers will help prevent hunger during the upcoming school break. Members of Kalos Church also donated 500 snack packs and hygiene kits, which will be distributed to five Bellevue schools this week and available for students and families.

Thank you, Kalos Church!

This Women’s History Month, we honor women whose leadership strengthened families across Washington State. 💚

✨ Dorothy Hollingsworth helped bring Head Start to our region, expanding early learning opportunities for children growing up in poverty.

✨ Ruth Woo championed housing equity and economic opportunity for working families.

✨ Dr. Maxine Mimms expanded access to higher education for underserved and first-generation students, opening pathways toward long-term economic mobility.

Because of leaders like these, families across King County are stronger today. At Bellevue LifeSpring, we carry that legacy forward by standing alongside children and families working toward stability and self-sufficiency.
