Letter from our principal before our annual CNY celebration Gala:
Happy Lunar New Year!
“A timely snow promises a good harvest”. This well-known Chinese proverb describes our good mood after experiencing record-breaking heavy snowfall in the Great Seattle Area. It is with this good mood that we get together here today at Meydenbauer Theater to celebrate our traditional Lunar New Year – the Chinese Spring Festival, excited, and joyful, with programs by our own students, parents and teachers. Please allow me, on behalf of the Board, PTA and Admin to express the heartfelt blessing and gratitude to all of you present.
Let’s bless our teachers and parents: happy life, ideal job, and good health. Let’s bless our students: wonderful childhood, excellent academic achievement, and promising future.
Thank you so very much for your continuous and devoted support, without which it is not possible at all for Northwest Chinese School (NWCS) to be what it is today.
School is the major place where systematic classroom teaching and learning are normally conducted, especially for primary and general education. After 20+ years development, NWCS has become one of the best schools of its kind with the comprehensive curriculum, well-cultivated faculties, high-quality teaching effect, and normative administrative management. NWCS is famous for her programs of Chinese, mathematics, visual and performing arts, and English. NWCS is composed of Newport High Main campus, Downtown Seattle branch, Tacoma Branch and downtown Bellevue afterschool classes and advanced tutorials. NWCS timely offers popular classes such as Game Programming, Robotics, Leadership and Lau Tzu’s TAO DE CHING, and more.
School is commonly revered as a general platform for students to present their brilliance and talent. Occasions such as these moments here today are good examples of such. I am sure our gathering will lay solid foundations for them to shine in the future to come.
This is the moment for celebration. It is also the time for promise. Let’s pledge here today, together: NWCS will surely enjoy a better tomorrow.
