Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) needs our help meeting diaper need in this region!

In 2026, LCSNW's contract with the Washington Department of Commerce was not renewed. This contract granted $190,000 to meet diaper need for families in King, Snohomish, and Clallam counties. The loss of that contract was a blow to families in need in our region.

There are several ways to help:
1) You can buy from one of the LCSNW Amazon wishlists. (The link is in the Comments.) There is one list for each of the three Community Resource Centers: Angle Lake (in SeaTac), Everett, and the Olympic Peninsula.
2) You can make a donation by following the link in the Comments. (You can make a request related to your donation, such as "for diaper need.")
3) You can organize a diaper drive! LCSNW has put together a step-by-step resource guide, complete with forms and fliers, that outlines how to conduct a diaper drive; contact Patricia in the Cross of Christ Office if you'd like a copy.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Downtown Bellevue will be SIGNIFICANTLY impacted by the WSDOT weekend closure of northbound (NB) I-405 beginning this Friday at 11 p.m. through Monday at 4 a.m. All vehicles traveling on NB I-405 will be detoured to surface streets. See map.

All lanes of northbound I-405 will close from SE 8th Street to NE 4th Street. The following ramps will also be closed:
-SE 8th Street on-ramp to NB I-405
-NB I-405 off-ramp to NE 4th Street/NE 8th Street (Exit 13 A/B)

Fun for ALL ages! 🙂

Community game nights are full of new games and classics games people love to play together. The next game night is Sunday, October 18th from 5:00-7:00pm at St. Luke's. Join other folks from the ELCC for food, fun and fellowship. Dinner is provided, bring a snack to share. If you have a favorite game to play or maybe a new game you would like to learn with new friends, bring it with you. Otherwise, we will have games to play on hand. You are invited! FREE Fall Family Festival for the community at Mt Si Lutheran Church on October 17 from 4-6pm. Free food, games, trunk-or-treat, costume parade and more.
