Summer Picnic with PeakSpeakers!

Zoom master wasn't available, and we are all unable to get in to zoom due to Google security. Wonderful moment for National Cyber Security Day. We managed to get in finally right on schedule, and captured beautiful faces on camera. If you haven't done, go ahead and set up multi-factor authentication for your banking and emails!

What fun would it be to solve the mysterious missing chocolate case. Who is the villain taking down the production? Is there a rich man hiding chocolates on an island, or is it another way to drive up the cost? We enjoyed discussing the cases we want to solve on Sherlock Holmes Day.

Last week, we celebrated our founders, Kent and Dana. Seeing their legacy and the outpouring of love for our club warmed my heart. They raise us like tiny chicks with love and care so that we can soar. Congratulations to Kent and Dana for moving to Olympia!

1. Born curious: WHYY are they upset with me? WHYY do they do this and that?
2. Stopping at the wrong stop in France. seeing the police patrol cars around me as I stroll on the highway

One more week! One more accomplishment!

Speech is actually present everywhere. It was 45 degrees when I entered the conference, and it was 75 degrees when I left after two hours. Significant weather shift in a few hours—an observation that may be turned into a speech!
Lots of participation and excitement about people's observations during the week—fun, inspiring, and amusing. After a long day, what better way to unwind than by laughing and learning!

Tonight, everyone did so well in their roles. It's organic how these skills apply to our lives. In life we become flexible; when we see problems, we navigate and adjust; as in Toastmasters, we navigate and make adjustments.

Great Educational minute: Toastmasters is not a class. It is a club, run by volunteers. We support one another by offering feedback. When I get feedback, I know that someone listened to me. They invested in me. It's amazing. . I improved every time I received feedback because I discovered what other people wanted to hear, not what I wanted to say.

"Leave your credit card home when you attend Home Shows". What a simple and relevant piece of advice. Don't waste a lot of time selecting a speech topic. Join toastmasters and learn to turn everyday simple occurrences into an amazing speech!
