As we celebrate National Boys & Girls Club week, we'd love to officially congratulate two of our amazing graduates, Shelli and Lucero! 🎊🎊

We're so proud of our teens, and we recognize all of their hard work and dedication as they step into the next chapter of their lives. We're also excited to see them both at our Clubs over the summer, where they will be working as Youth Development Professionals.

Congratulations guys, we can't wait to see what you do next!

Before wrapping up the school year, Clubhouses came together to celebrate some truly remarkable young people - our Youth of the Year nominees! 🎉

The Youth of the Year program is one of Boys & Girls Clubs most significant leadership development experiences. Through the encouragement of caring Club staff, youth build confidence, develop leadership skills, and learn how they can make a positive impact on those around them.

To celebrate their achievements, each nominee invited a friend for an afternoon of fun at Dave & Buster’s before gathering at the Downtown Clubhouse for a special recognition ceremony.

Surrounded by family, friends, and Club staff, nominees were celebrated for the unique qualities that make them a leader and an important part of our Club community. Staff shared heartfelt stories about the ways these young people inspire others, contribute to their Clubhouses, and embody the values of kindness, responsibility, and leadership.

The evening concluded with food, laughter, and plenty of celebration. Congratulations to all of our Youth of the Year nominees—we are so proud of you and excited to see where your leadership journey takes you next! 💙

☀️Fun in the Sun at Newport Heights☀️

To end the school year off right, our Newport Heights Elementary Clubhouse hosted a water-themed field day!

Kids and staff alike ran, splashed and smiled as they participated in multiple fun water relays, trivia quizzes, and exhilarating games of red-light green light.

We hope everyone is enjoying an amazing weekend and celebrating a special summer solstice💛💛

Seven weeks of hard work. One graduation ride. And then the best part — they got to keep the bikes. 🚲💙

Our Eastside Terrace kids spent seven weeks learning how to overhaul and rebuild their own bikes with Lance leading the way. Yesterday they put those skills to the test with a ride through the Lake Hills and Kelsey Creek trails, riding as a group, checking their brakes, and doing it right.

These kids did not just earn a bike. They earned the confidence that comes with building one. We could not be more proud. 🎉

A reminder from our friends at Bellevue Bellevue (WA) Fire Department!

Bellevue’s lakes make summer unforgettable, but even on hot days the water stays cold enough to be dangerous. Cold shock and hypothermia can hit fast, and drowning can happen quietly even for strong swimmers.

The Bellevue Fire Department is asking everyone to keep safety in mind. Wear a properly fitted Coast Guard‑approved life jacket when you’re boating or paddling. Watch kids closely anytime they’re near the water. Keep an eye on the weather and skip alcohol when you’re on the lake.

Our waterfront is a community treasure. A few simple precautions help everyone enjoy summer and stay safe.

Last Wednesday our kids had a blast at Climate Pledge Arena cheering on the Seattle Storm. 🏀🎉

Thanks to the generosity of Keller Supply Co. , a group of our Club kids got to watch the Seattle Storm face off against the LA Sparks from one of the best seats in the house. They cheered, laughed, met Doppler, and they soaked up every single moment of it all.

These are the kinds of nights that stick with a kid. Not just because of the game but because someone believed they deserved a great experience. Thank you Keller Supply for being that someone for our Club kids! 💙

Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue is grateful to Bellevue School District for hosting last Friday’s Partner Appreciation Breakfast and bringing together the incredible organizations that help support student success across our community.

The Welcome Center was filled with energy, connection, and a shared commitment to helping young people thrive. We were inspired by Superintendent Aramaki and Deputy Superintendent Sanchez, who highlighted the vital role community partners play in supporting students beyond the school day.

A special thank you to the Welcome Center staff, Interlake Horticulture, and Newport Culinary for creating such a welcoming and memorable morning. Your hospitality filled our plates, and our hearts.

The BGCB is proud to partner with the Bellevue School District to provide before and after school care to youth and teens and we look forward to continuing this important work in the 2026–2027 school year. 💙
