The Eastside Lions Youth Rugby Club is the home of youth rugby on the east side of the greater Seattle area, and caters for boys and girls grades 1-12. From our humble beginnings in 2007, we have grown to become one of the most respected youth clubs in the Northwest. We offer a comprehensive fifteen's rugby program in the spring and an exciting and fun-filled summer 7’s program. We have multiple b

oys and girls teams catering for all ages and serve more than 200 players from the Greater Eastside including Clyde Hill, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Redmond, Kirkland, Sammamish, Issaquah, Snoqualmie, Renton, Preston, Lake Forest Park, Montlake, North Bend, Fall City, Snohomish, Carnation, Bothell, and more. Our club is sanctioned by USA Rugby and Rugby Washington, and competes against other clubs throughout Washington, with occasional tours to California, Oregon, British Columbia and other international destinations for our high school teams. We have a devoted staff of high quality, USA Rugby certified coaches, athletic trainers, and a committed parent support organization. We partner with Atavus Rugby to offer professional coaching support and athletic training. The mission of the Eastside Lions Rugby Club is to mentor and develop character, sportsmanship and teamwork in young athletes through the wonderful game of rugby, and to help them become healthy, responsible young leaders. The Eastside Lions Rugby Club is a 100% volunteer-driven organization and is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization. We are very proud of our accomplishments as a club and the contribution our organization has made to our youth and society over the years.

Using non-contact rugby, children
will build key athletic skills through
fun, game-based activities that
focus on catching, passing, running,
defense, and teamwork. After lunch,
participants will spend the rest of the
day enjoying splash time in the lake.

On the journey home, we are reminded that there is so much more to these tours than the final scores. What sometimes gets overlooked is everything going on behind the scenes… the coaches early mornings planning, the late nights rounding up cell phones, teammates checking in on each other, and the bonding that happens in the swimming pool, playing beach volleyball and enjoying meals together.

The wins have far outweighed the losses.
The development has far eclipsed the mistakes.
The Eastside Family only grows stronger.

We take great pride in this group of players, and know the future is extremely bright for this team and the opportunities that are provided for their futures.

Thank you to all the players for stepping up to the challenges and giving everything they have on the pitch, thank you to the coaches for your dedication and guidance, and thank you to the parents, families, and greater rugby community that puts in all the work behind the scenes.
