The “Voice of Iran” [VOI] is a WA State non-governmental organization [NGO] founded by Iranian-American community organizers. While advocacy is political in nature, VOI is a non-partisan, multi-faith group that is rooted in community, relationships, and led by ordinary people including multiple backgrounds, gender and LGBTQIA+ identity who care about Iranian people a
nd their freedom. In addition, VOI remains in solidarity with the Iranian movement through grassroots organizing, rallying, and protesting in major cities like Seattle, Bellevue, as well as our State’s Capitol in Olympia. Voice of Iran Washington is the first official organization to publicly stand for the people in Iran, amplifying the true voice of the Iranian people. Support Iranian uprisings by amplifying the true voice of the people in Iran, who are fighting for their basic human rights and for freedom towards a secular democracy.
2. Position the next generation of Iranian American community by supporting them with opportunities for mentorship. Our Vision: We envision a world in which there is no violence, terrorism and dictatorship, and Iranian Americans come together in service to the voiceless people of Iran, and to service the society towards the freedom and democracy for the people of Iran and peace for the world. Main Goals
• Amplify and promote news, media, postings, etc on Iran’s revolution in the Washington State
• Amplify the voice of Iranians calling out gender apartheid.
• Organize rallies consistent with global days of action to raise awareness in solidarity with allies around the world;
• Draft and create petitions that seek support from the U.S. electorate, private sector, non-profit sector, and public sector as relevant;
• Identify “Islamic Regime” supporters or lobbyists, authorities and their dependents in WA and disable their anti revolution propaganda;
• Partner and collaborate with other like minded organizations that serve the common interest in promoting basic freedoms and human rights for Iranian people. Common goals and objectives include but are not limited to:
• Support Iranian revolution to establish a secular democracy
• Anti-violence and anti-genocide methods of change;
• End the violence, suppression, and oppression of Iranian peoples
• Protect and save leaders of the Revolution who may serve many roles such as students, political prisoners, workers, who are often victims of genocide, victims of violence, victims of wrongful imprisonment
