Four of six U.S. service members killed in the Iran war died when a drone struck a port in Kuwait on Sunday, U.S. Army Reserve Command said.

They have been identified as Capt. Cody A. Khork, Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor and Sgt. Declan J. Coady.

The identities and the circumstances of the other two killed U.S. service members have not been released.

The Bellevue Fallen Soldiers Memorial is selling these hats in memory of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. May their memory and sacrifice never be forgotten.
Proceeds will go to the memorial fund for ongoing maintenance, flag replacement, etc. The cost is $20 each. The Fallen Soldiers Memorial is 501 (c) (3) nonprofit.

Dog Refuses to Leave Downed Soldier. Sergeant Miller and his K9, Rex, didn’t often see combat like this, but when they did, they were inseparable. Clearing homes together was their duty, and their bond made them fearless. Then came the ambush.

Gunfire exploded around them, cutting Miller off from his platoon. He dove into an alley, blood staining the sand beneath him. Disoriented and wounded, he thought it was the end. But Rex never left.

For thirty minutes, the firefight raged. Rex held his post at Miller’s side waiting, watching, striking. When enemies closed in, he launched without hesitation. Two confirmed kills were credited to the K9 that day, both captured on drone footage. Each time, he returned to Miller’s side, resuming his protective stance as if nothing else mattered.

When reinforcements finally arrived, Rex collapsed. He had been hit during the fight but stayed standing until Miller was safe. On the way to the safe zone, both man and dog lost consciousness. Hours later, they woke up in the hospital alive, together.

A year later, Rex was honored as a true American hero. Not just a K9, but a soldier who stood his ground, saved his handler, and refused to leave his brother in arms behind.
