"One man's trash is another's treasure"

Sometimes, I can't wrap my head around the motives of people. This poor pregnant mama was dropped off to us and left to fend for herself. We took her under our wing and have been caring for her since. As of two nights ago, she left us a very sweet surprise, that are just as precious and loving as she is. We will have 5 kittens available for adoption when the time comes to leave mama, and would love to find each of these special babies a loving furever home. They will be exposed to dogs, cats, children, and well handled for desensitizing! Please contact us if you have any interest in these little ones, and we will continue post status updates as they grow!

Meet Joe Dirt!

Joe is coming to us so that he can get out of his current, stressful home situation. Joe is in desperate need of a hoof trim, castration, and most of all, love! He is accustomed to being a house pig, but because of unfortunate circumstances, he has spent more time than he is comfortable with in a crate. Because of this, he is developing aggression issues that we hope to be able to address immediately.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in giving Joe a loving, forever home, whether it be inside or outside, please contact either rescue for information on how to adopt.

Good morning everyone! We greatly apologize for not posting lately as life has been a little critical in some aspects, and we just needed to take a little break and recharge. With that being said, we are still up and in business, but are currently operating on a small scale basis at the moment until a few adjustments are made. I would like to take the time to give a major shout out to my partner and vice president Adam for holding us down and buttoning up loose ends as I revamp our current plans and stage a new operating property, and we look forward to what the future has in store for us. As always, thank you all so much for the love and support, and we look forward to keeping you guys up to date with the latest and photos of the critters! I just want to take a moment to give a huge shout out to everyone who has supported Abe's Legacy Farm Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation . The out-pours of love, support, and donations, are what keeps us going, and doing what we do. I know you have been patiently awaiting the status of Ben, and it has taken me some time to muster up the strength to type this.

We regret to inform all of you, that the outcome of his surgery, was not at all what we were expecting. Ben has been diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. What this is, is essentially a very aggressive form of cancer, and is hence forth not treatable as it will continue to spread across his body. He has a poor prognosis, and our Veterinarian does not anticipate him making a full recovery from this. Our time with Ben could be anywhere from a week to a year, before the cancer returns, and at that point we make the difficult decision to humanely euthanize. Ben will not be available for adoption, and will instead, live out the rest of his time here on the farm surrounded by his herd, and all the love and life we can give, until we say our goodbyes. This was not easy for us, and again, we absolutely appreciate every single one of you for your help during this journey, and will continue to carry Ben until the end. Thank you all so much.
