Time has been flying with harvest in full swing! Join us for a carry-in lunch or enjoy the afternoon, October 25. We will have our annual members meeting, followed by music performed by Sue and Jo. It’s sure to be a great afternoon with food, friends, and music at the Cuba Community Hall in Cuba.

$5 cover that goes to help cover activities we put on throughout the year.

Today, we commemorate the Memorial Day of the Victims of the 1968 Invasion and the subsequent occupation by Warsaw Pact troops. This day is dedicated to remembering all those whose lives were tragically affected by the events of August 1968. We shall never forget. 🕊️

Wow!!! What a busy few weeks the youth of the Republic Co Czech Club have had. They started their adventure by competing at Cuba Harvest Festival. Where we crowned our 2026-2027 royalty.

Prince- Ignatius Baxa
Jr Princess- Penelope Splichal
Jr Prince- Boniface Baxa
Mini Princess- Onna Pospisil
Mini Prince- Ambrose Baxa.
To say it was an eventful day would be an understatement. Despite excessive heat, a power outage, and several off them being on stage for the very first time, they maintained a smile and good sense of humor.

The following weekend many of them attend Wilson After Harvest Czech Festival. Our Princess Faustina Baxa participated in the Kansas Czech/Slovak Royalty Pageant, where she gained a new title. We look forward to Faustina's adventures as the current Kansas Czech/Slovak Sr Princess 2026-2027.
Some of the kids got the opportunity to work with the wonderful committee members of the Manhattan, Ks Partner City Program. Prince Ignatius, Princess Penelope, along with Isador Baxa, and Allison and Wesley Vytlacil walked through the parade and handed out almost 400 apples to parade goers. The club also entered a car in the parade, in which Mini Prince Ambros, Jr Prince Boniface, Mini Princess Onna, along with Gertrude Baxa represented the club.

Will we're having fun, let's add a the NCK Free Fair. The princess and princes took a few minutes out of their fair festivities to help with Good Neighbor Day. Queen Emma, Kansas Sr Princess, Jr Princess Penelope, Jr Prince Boniface, and Mini Prince Ambrose, made their introductions. Queen Emma Awarded our Kolace Contest Champions, then it was on to the kolache auction. They did an amazing displaying and then delivering the kolaches to the winning bidder.

Which brings us to this last weekend, or Wilber Czech Days!!!
If you've never been definitely put it on your to do list for next year.
This event possesses a little more of a challenge as it is it falls at the end of the NCK Free Fair and is also a 2-day event. For use in these parades, we were graciously donated the use of a truck and trailer, by the Vytlacil family. On Saturday the float attendees were Mini Princess Onna, Kansas Princess Faustina, and Miss Czech/Slovak Kansas Pageant Queen Jessica. We also had youth members Allison and Wesley Vytlacil. For Sunday the float attendees were Mini Princess Onna, Jr Princess Penelope, Miss Czech/Slovak Kansas Pageant 1st Runner - up Makenna, and Miss Czech/Slovak Kansas PageantQueen Jessica. It was such a privilege to get the girls and Wesley to all get the chance to spend time together, they seemed to have a wonderful time traveling through the parade together.

All and all we couldn't be prouder of our royalty and the way the represented the Republic County Czech Club. We look forward to the year ahead and the opportunities yet to come.
