Now that I've had a few hours of sleep and am semi-functional again, I'll make the show wag and brag post.

First and foremost - CONGRATULATIONS to each and every exhibitor on your accomplishments great and small - even if you didn't take a ribbon home this weekend, you worked hard to present your dogs and show their best attributes.

Now for my thank yous:

THANK YOU to our amazing judging panel - Noel Carrion, Terry Kline and Eric Roberts - for their willingness to share their time, patience, candor and love of this breed with the Great Lakes Pit Bull Club exhibitors and club members alike.

THANK YOU to our exhibitors for their continued patience and support after our short sabbatical from hosting shows and the love you shared when we lost one of our own and and for your grace as we work to grow and expand.

THANK YOU to our amazing hosts at Full Circle Farm for their continued dedication - especially in the face of last minute hiccups - to the sport of purebred dogs and giving us a place to let our dogs do their thing. We definitely wouldn't be where we are without you.

And last but certainly not least, THANK YOU to our club members who worked their backsides off all weekend to keep things flowing as smoothly as possible (yes, we had a few hiccups but that's what keeps life interesting!). You guys are the absolute best and I am proud to work alongside of you and share your dedication to the club's continued growth.

And finally a few special mentions:

Mari Burton, the raffle queen, for absolutely SMASHING it with the raffle and SELLING OUT ✨4,000✨️ tickets to raise nearly $400 for our club plus DONATING several amazing raffle items.

Jimmy Whited, et al for stepping up and helping a fellow exhibitor during their time of need and making sure that their dogs got into the show ring but also helping with necessary repairs to get them back on the road.

And finally, Sandra Alway for entering your champion to spit the class. The endless task to secure enough to split always makes for a fun day!

Who is ready to win some hardware?!

Less than a week! Weather is looking absolutely GORGEOUS for this weekend.

We do have a few reminders for the upcoming show:

- Be courteous to whomever you are parked by and maintain control of your dogs.

- No alcohol or drugs (and this includes 420 fun) are allowed during the show. You will get asked to leave.

- Respect our hosts and the horses and other critterd (barn cats, etc.) that live on the farm. Maintain control of your dogs around them and if you think your hardware is too loose, tighten it up.

- Our amazing food vendor will have some great eats throughout the day. They will be stationed near registration.

- You must have your ADBA paperwork on hand at the show. A photo copy or original for verification. We absolutely cannot register your dog at the show. Sorry.

- Bring cash per person for gate fee. It is $5/person.

- Do NOT allow your dogs to urinate on hay and/or straw bales. Our host has specifically asked us to make sure this does not happen as it is gross and unsanitary for the horses to have their food contaminated with dog urine.

- Remember to have fun, keep hydrated and enjoy yourselves. We will do everything in our power to keep things flowing smoothly.

All the hardware is accounted for and ready for the taking. We are still looking for a few trophy sponsors (feel free to check the pinned post on what is still available).

Ribbons should be in later this week and will be counted and checked over in preparation.

As always with our friends at Full Circle Farm - when you arrive, please make sure to leave our equine friends alone to keep them and the dogs safe and free of injury.
