Thank you Gwendalynn Cole for presenting to the Belleville Lions Club your senior project, we had a full turnout to learn about your mission to provide veterans with mental health resources and support materials to encourage healing. The Belleville Country Club is a great place for us to meet and much thanks to Los Primos for our take-out lunch. We initiated two new members on Friday, we welcome anyone who wants to join our service organization. See someone in the pictures than you know? Ask that Lion member to tell you more about the opportunity to make a difference in your community. Thank you The Belleville Telescope for the publicity this week!

Thank you Edward Larson from the Republic County Hospital for being our presenter today. We have been meeting at the Belleville County Club twice a month, first and third Fridays. A unique twist this year, rotating our 'catered' meals - getting takeout lunch from local restaurants. The idea has been popular, today we had a total sell-out of food. It was a great meeting! Please see a member of our service club to inquire about joining us. We're a great community organization to be a part of.

For 99 years, the Belleville Lions Club has honored a young man and woman graduating from Republic County High School through a rigorous selection process. Top students are measured through academics and activities throughout their four years. This year Lions Club Honor Tablet recipients are Benedict Baxa and Olivia Rieke. Also, a scholarship is awarded to a child or grandchild of a current Lions Club member with the highest GPA. The PeterJorgensen Scholarship recipient is Avery Stindt (daughter of Lion Brady Stindt). Congratulations to the three talented students!
