With Belleville students heading back to classrooms this morning for the first time since the devastating 14-alarm fire, we are calling for immediate cooperation from Belleville and the Board of Education in order to address the critical safety and communication gaps that remain unresolved.
The Open Letter that we are publishing today, along with the Press Release being distributed to the media from the BPS9HSA and the Belleville Education Association detail how a lack of transparency regarding air quality and "middle of the night" scheduling shifts has left families in a state of uncertainty.
We urge our community to help us hold local leadership accountable and ensure a safer, more transparent path forward for our children and educators.
