Happy National 4-H Week!!

4-H is so much more than the barn, the show ring, the meetings, the time spent deciding your project, and the late nights working on or with your projects.

4-H helps us build friendships and relationships, learn life skills, work hard, and build confidence in young leaders!

We love all of our 4-H families, volunteers, members, supporters & friends! Thank you for believing in 4-H and helping our members succeed!

Yesterday we were able to supply 9 Logan County families with free Crockpots, recipe books, and crockpot liners!

A huge thank you to the 8 organizations that joined us along with Family Consumer Sciences Educator Sofia Carter from Champaign County. Olivia was able to secure this grant through United Way and provide low income families with these tools. We cannot thank everyone involved enough for this amazing opportunity!

Today is my 2nd Anniversary being the Logan County 4-H Educator!

As I sit and reflect on my time, I feel truly blessed to have made so many great memories, relationships, and friendships!

Logan County truly holds a special place in my heart and the people here are unlike any other! I thank you all for taking a chance on me 2 years ago when I came in - for trying out all my ideas, for being there when I need help, for leading our members to become the best versions of themselves!

I have created an Amazon wishlist with some items that would benefit our program - if you feel so inclined to purchase or donate items you may have at home I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you all for another great year, I look forward to 2027 🍀

What a great opportunity to support our Logan County youth members!

Thank you Dustin & Smokin Bandits for starting this awesome award!

So last fair season we started the Champions Mindset. Thats where people can nominate kids that go above and beyond in the barns or show arena. If its helping other kids out, cleaning up messes they didn't make of anything in-between. This past fair season this went over really well. So we are doing a fundraiser to help purchase awards and gifts for next year winners. We will be hosting a pulled pork dinner. You will get pulled pork from a locally raised hog the is smoked low and slow, 2 sides, roll, and drink. There will be raffle prizes and silent auction items.

We are looking for donations, for raffle prizes, silent auctions, or desserts. If you wannna do a monetary donation I can give you our venmo or get a hold of Dj Cook 937 935 8020 or Dustin Cook 937-441-5367.

$10 a ticket and they can be found at our office, TSC in Bellefontaine, and Family Farm and Home

Farm Science Review tickets are now available at the Logan County Extension Office!

🚨 One more exciting part of a successful fair season — livestock auction checks are ready! 🙌

💰 Checks will be available for pickup TOMORROW, September 12, from 9:00 AM–Noon at the Fair Office.
Please Note: Some checks will be held until there is a W9 and other paperwork required. Please be sure to bring all appropriate information needed. If there is any question - please call the fair office.

💥 if checks are not picked up tomorrow, they will be available throughout the week during normal fair office hours - Tuesday & Thursday- noon to 6pm
Then be mailed out the following week.

To all of our livestock exhibitors, thank you for the hard work, dedication, and countless hours you put into your projects this year. We’re excited to get those hard-earned auction checks into your hands!

👛 While you’re stopping in, don’t forget to grab your tickets for the Gun & Purse Raffle on September 19th!

It’s going to be a fun night supporting improvements right here at the Logan County Fairgrounds — and we’d love to see our fair families there!

Buyers lists are in !

This morning I attended Richwood Coffee Beneficiary Awards Ceremony. I heard stories from other local agencies and non profits who are able to grow due to the coffee funds!

Logan County 4-H was chosen to be a full time beneficiary of the Richwood Coffee Program in July 2025 and thanks to our local community and PeakFiber Partnership we have raised over $4,000!

This money has gone to support the DJ at the Barn Bash, Biosecurity Buckets at the swine clinic, camp supplies, over 400 popsicles for the week of fair and even supported the fair photographer!

Thank you to Richwood Bank for their dedication to serving our community and thank you to all of the coffee lovers who have chosen Logan County 4-H!
