I sincerely appreciate all the questions!

Video 1: I answer questions regarding our location, length of stay, programming, other services available, how to volunteer and who we serve.

Edit: Great questions everyone! I’m likely going to have to split these up into a few videos! Stay tuned!

Hey Logan County! 👋 The Peak of Hope (The Logan County Homeless Shelter) has been around since 2003 and some of you are just finding out about its very existence. I want to be able to answer any questions you may have.

Ask me anything! Whether your question is about shelter rules, occupancy, what donations we accept, volunteer opportunities and the work we’re doing to resume services to women and children…I want to know!

👇Put your questions in the comment section below and I’ll be making a video later to talk things over with you!

Meet our NEW, part-time shelter coordinator, Jeff Stockton!

Jeff’s wealth of experience and sincere compassion for the plight of others made him a perfect candidate for this role! He’s already actively identifying needs within the shelter system, and using his resources to find solutions!

Peep that phone in Jeff’s hand! Jessica Simmons with TCP Asset Management asked if the shelter was in need an additional mobile phone line. When we explained that we would be having a new hire soon, she didn’t hesitate to purchase the shelter a new cellphone along with service for 1 year!

This generous donation ensures Jeff is able to effectively and directly communicate with those receiving temporary shelter and outreach services by way of the Peak of Hope!

Show Jeff and Jessica some love below! 👇 These efforts are paramount to the success of our shelter system!

We were a part of a resource fair today for Downtown Days Bellefontaine - Fall in Love with Bellefontaine.

We didn’t have trinkets to pass out.

No pamphlets in sight.

All we had was this tent display that was once a fellow Logan County resident’s, home.

Don’t let our choice in footwear distract you from the beautiful contribution captured in this picture! 🩴

Six Hundred Downtown owner, Brittney Saxton, approached the Peak of Hope Shelter after hearing about the evacuation of our women and families and simply asked, “What can I do to help?”

From there, she created her “Pizza for a Purpose” campaign, where 10% of all Wednesday sales are donated to the Peak of Hope Relief fund - a fund specifically designed to provide single women and families with children (who engage with our outreach program) with alternatives to temporary shelter.

Today, Brittney generously donated ✨$3,287.17✨ to this fund!

We are incredibly thankful to Brittany and her team for their support!! ❤️

The Peak of Hope has utilized 107 S. Madriver for 20+ years. Well over 1000 people have sought safety within these walls and found their way to a fruitful new beginning. ❤️

Angela, a former shelter guest, helps us say goodbye to the building that women and families once used as their temporary home.

While it’s been absolutely devastating not been able to serve women and children since June 5, relief and hope is on the horizon.

We cannot wait to share with you, what we are on the cusp of accomplishing.🙌

It’s United Way of Logan County, Ohio Community Care Day and this amazing group of volunteers from NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc spent so much of their time chipping away at our “honey do” list!

We are incredibly thankful to our local, United Way for their efforts towards making Logan County a better place!
