My husband, Garry and I are fourth generation owners of Preston's Station. Preston's Station Historic District is dedicated to preserving The Legacy which began in the early 1920's with my great grandfather, George W. Preston, then to dad, Ronald Preston. Grandpa was one-of-a-kind, having a passion like none other to share the history of Belle Plaine and Lincoln Hig

hway. Dad was just like grandpa in his passion to continue and build The Legacy. The Legacy continues with our passion and commitment to preserve and restore Preston's for all generations to appreciate and be inspired by the past.

During Belle Plaine’s City-Wide Garage Sales, stop by Preston's Station Historic District for a Not So Traditional Garage Sale. Expect collectibles, antiques, vintage toys, dishes, furniture, and plenty of unique treasures.

Every dollar raised goes directly to restoration and preservation efforts.

Preston's has commissioned artist Chad Elliott, Elliott Art Studio from Jefferson to create a mural on front of the Garage/Museum next to the Station. Chad recently created two murals for the Greene County Historical Museum. Chad will begin creating the mural Monday, 5/11 and anticipates completing by the end of the week.

Preston's would like to thank the City of Belle Plaine for their support of this project and their continued support and encouragement as we work to restore and preserve Preston's.

The illustrious history of Preston’s Station is an important part of the legacy of the Lincoln Highway, and the City of Belle Plaine. The Station continues to be an important asset for Belle Plaine and surrounding communities.

To begin the restoration process, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We must raise $60,000 to meet our initial goal of the $500,000 needed to begin restoration. For a minimum donation of $100 you can order a personalized brick and become a part of the Legacy. The bricks will surround an interpretive panel sharing the legacy of Preston’s Station. The interpretive panel will be installed on the east side of the Station once restoration is complete.

Your support is critical to continuing Preston’s legacy for generations to come. If we don’t save our history now, it will be lost forever.
