Our page will be closing soon. Before we go, we wanted to share the ways we were able to spend down our funds before permanently disbanding.
Some may have heard that with lack of involvement the PTO board decided to disband in 2022. With that decision came the task of dispersing our funds. 2022-2023 the PTO played a silent role in helping fund many activities. We gifted each teacher an Amazon gift card to get their year started, paid for a 5 year peacemaker art grant at Oak Crest, donated to the Wolf Ridge program, paid for guest speakers, provided grade level spending to all BG-6th grades, provided field trip funds, donated Scholastic dollars to Chatfield and Oak Crest Libraries, donated PTO's portion of Holiday Express profits to ECFE.

Our goal was to have fully disbanded by May of 2023, but with unforseen obstacles we were still left with a good chunk of funds. As we entered into the 2023-2024 school year, the board decided to put money towards 5 years of field trip bussing for Chatfield students and the remaining funds went into the Wolf Ridge account to be used over the next 3 years.

We want to thank all past PTO board members for supporting such a wonderful organization within our school community. We also want to take the time to thank the families of Belle Plaine that supported the PTO. Without you, we wouldn't have lasted this long.
The goal of the PTO has always been to relieve the stress off of families by paying for activities and experiences for our students, we can gladly say that we were successful in doing so.

Good morning Belle Plaine Parents & Students

Katie, Jessica, and myself would like to update the community about the happenings of the PTO.
We had great plans and hopes for the PTO, but after spending a lot of time discussing options we have decided that the PTO will be disbanding.
We were fortunate enough to be part of this amazing organization, and I have personally loved being able to see my child impacted by the efforts of the PTO.
We reached out to the principals and teachers before the start of this school year and have made plans to support our kids and teachers through this school year with the remainder of our funds.
Some of the plans include classroom reimbursement for teachers, grade level funding for student experiences and field trips, continued Art Grant for the next 4 years, continued support of Wolf Ridge for the next 4 years, and large donation to each school to go towards projects aimed at improving our schools for our children.
We thank the Belle Plaine Community for their support over the years. Anyone who is interested in continuing to support our schools can reach out to the Principals for direction.
