Dear local 4-H participant, volunteer, and/or supporter,

South Dakota 4-H is constantly looking at ways to improve our program to better meet the needs of our state. Part of this effort is local program evaluation. This is being done to provide local participants with an opportunity to voice their feelings (including good, neutral, and areas for improvement). All information is confidential, and we do not collect your name in this process.

This survey is open to 4-H members, volunteers, parents, and local supporters. We do ask that if 4-H members participate that they are able to do so without the influence of a parent/guardian so that we may collect their authentic response.

The survey should take less than 15 minutes and cover the following items:

1. Your County Demographics

2. Communications

3. County 4-H Program

4. Additional Comments

It's Crunch Off time again!

Last year Audrey was able to get to Badlands Head Start and share some books and fruit with the kids. We had a blast!

Are you interested in leadership?

Spend the day with other area youth and learn valuable leadership skills, yummy lunch and snacks, and fun games! Oh and a FREE T-Shirt!

Let Audrey know if you would like more information. This is open to any 5th - 8th graders in Butte and Lawrence county 4-H. Public, private, or homeschool kids welcome!

Clover Classic 2027 Survey

The Clover Classic was a new event this year that brought the State Livestock Judging Contest and the State Livestock Skillathon contest to Brookings in June after years of declining participation.

Because of this date and location change, we were able to include an additional SIX contests including: Meats Judging, Livestock Quiz Bowl, Poultry Judging, Hippology, Horse Judging and Horse Quiz Bowl.

The event was a great success and allowed youth to participate in numerous contests, socials, workshops and build relationships with other 4-H'ers across the state.

While we do not anticipate changing the location or month of the event this coming year, we would appreciate input on the official 2027 dates as well as potentially looking at updating the contests provided.

We encourage 4-H'ers, 4-H Families, and 4-H Volunteers to fill out the survey below by MONDAY, SEPT 28th.
