GINA NEEDS A FOSTER – A SWEET, SUBDUED SOUL WAITING FOR SAFETY

Gina is confused. She is in the pound, and she doesn't understand why. She came from a home, but she arrived with no collar and no microchip. We have posted her everywhere, and no one has come for her. It is time to find her somewhere more comfortable and less lonely than the pound.

She is a sweet, subdued girl, docile and gentle. She hasn't quite warmed up to being a cuddle bug with the volunteers yet, but she does meander over for pets and spends time in the yard, soaking up the sunshine and quiet. She is a chill dog, the kind that would be an easy house guest, content to just exist near you. She tested well with a female dog and we suspect she’d be fine with all resident dogs.

Here is what we know about Gina:

• Approximately 5 to 6 years old
• Female
• 39 pounds
• Heartworm negative
• Has had all her shots and flea/heartworm prevention
• Has some joint pain from age, but it is manageable with medication
• Obviously well loved – she could stand to lose a few pounds, but she is happy as is

Gina has a rescue ready to back her fully, but only if we can find her a committed foster. She deserves a quiet home where she can rest her joints and her heart. She has been through enough confusion and loneliness.

FOSTER NEEDED. A MONTH IN A KENNEL. JASPER DESERVES BETTER.

One month. Thirty days of a kennel and loneliness. Jasper has spent an entire month in boarding, waiting for someone to say yes. He came to us bleeding and scared, with a bloody nose and a high fever, found in a stranger's garage. He spent the night at the vet, was given antibiotics, and has been fighting his way back ever since. His body has healed, but his heart is still waiting.

He is a love bug, sweet and gentle, with a heart that just wants to belong. The boarder says all he wants is cuddle time and a good snooze next to someone who loves him. Jasper has fun too, energetic in small bursts, but mostly he is just happy to chill with humans and soak up their presence. He is the kind of dog who will rest his head on your lap and sigh like he has been waiting for that moment his whole life.

Here is what we know about Jasper:

❤️ Approximately 4 years old
❤️ Around 55 pounds
❤️ All shots are done
❤️ Not yet neutered, but rescue will cover it
❤️ Dog selective – he is fine in the yard with other dogs but gets scared when there is a fence or barrier between them, so we are looking for a home where he can be an only dog
❤️ Sweet, affectionate, and loves cuddles
❤️ Energetic in short bursts but mostly low key and happy to chill

The kennel environment is wearing on him. He is sensitive and stressed, and he desperately needs a quiet home where he can decompress and finally feel safe. He needs someone who understands that he has been through a lot and just needs patience and love.

He has a rescue ready to back him fully, but only if we can find him a long-term foster. We know that finding a home for a dog-selective pup is not easy, but we are not giving up on him. He has already survived so much. He deserves a chance to heal for real.

JASPER NEEDS A FOSTER – A SENSITIVE SOUL WHO DESERVES A SOFT PLACE TO LAND

Jasper came to us a month ago with a bloody nose and a high fever, found bleeding and scared in the streets, collapsed from exhaustion after running. He spent the night at the vet, was given antibiotics, and has been fighting his way back ever since. He has healed on the outside, but he still needs healing on the inside, and a kennel is no place for that.

He has now been in boarding for three weeks. The boarder says all he wants is his people, cuddle time, and a good snooze next to someone who loves him. He is a total love bug, sweet and gentle, with a heart that just wants to belong. He has fun too, energetic in small bursts, but mostly he is just happy to chill with humans and soak up their presence.

Note: we believe he’s dog selective when it comes to a boundary between the two (like a fence). But he’s been ok in an open yard. We still believe he would do best as an only dog.

He is getting stressed in the kennel environment. Jasper is a sensitive guy, and the noise and isolation are wearing on him. He needs a quiet home where he can decompress and finally feel safe.

🚨 ONE WEEK FOSTER NEEDED FOR PIPER STARTING THIS SATURDAY 🚨

Piper is a sweet as molasses lab mix who is 5 months old and the most affectionate pup her current foster has ever met.

This foster is her temp foster but she agreed to long term foster once she returns from out of the country.

This means we need someone to watch piper for ONE WEEK. That’s it. Keep her safe, cool, fed and loved and that keeps her out of the pound. We don’t want her returning there. She’s much too young.

Piper has had all her initial shots, is almost fully house trained, gets along with other dogs, is likely ok with cats (we can’t promise but she hasn’t shown any interest so far), and 💯 a love bug.

Can you please take her on from Saturday August 22 to Sunday August 30? This sweet girl will be the best houseguest!

HAPPY, GO-LUCKY PIPER NEEDS A FOSTER – URGENT!

Happy, go-lucky five month old black lab mix Piper needs a foster home. She is ready for her foster home, but her temp foster is leaving town on Friday, and she will go back to the pound or to boarding if we cannot find her a place.

Piper was found behind a coffee shop by the dumpster, alone with no collar and no microchip. No one came for her. But she hasn't let that slow her down. She is five months old, has had all her shots, and is the most affectionate, sweetest pup her foster has ever met.

Here is what we know about this happy girl:

❤️ 5 months old
❤️ Black lab mix
❤️ Approximately 20 pounds
❤️ Has had all her shots
❤️ Happy, go-lucky and affectionate
❤️ Loves belly rubs and humans
❤️ Sleeps through the night and jumps right into bed happily every night
❤️ Plays wonderfully with the resident dog and takes cues beautifully
❤️ Working on being fully house trained

She is gangly and adorable, still figuring out those big puppy paws, but her heart is already fully grown. She arrived with her ears down and her tail tucked, but somehow it was still wagging. Within a minute, she was asking for pets and wanting to stay close. She has been through so much in her short life, but she still wags her tail. She still wants to trust.

A rescue is ready to back her fully, but only if we can find her a committed foster.

She would be a perfect addition to any home. Can that home be yours?

CHANCE NEEDS A FOSTER

Named Chance because he deserves a second one! This gentle giant was found tied to defense yesterday with his food bag and a water bowl. Needless to say, he has had the worst 24 hours of his life.

Chance takes treats gently, is a bit timid but becoming a love bug quickly, adores pets and is happiest chilling. And he would love a foster home because he’s a house hippo that’s obviously been very loved before this. And he’s seeking it again.

DUMPED DOG - NEEDS FOSTER

We’ve named him Chance because he deserves a second chance at love ❤️

This sweet pittie was found tied up to a fence on the 5200 block of Woodlawn with food and water next to him. He has no microchip.

Chance has a gentle demeanor, he’s likely middle aged and is available for foster immediately since he was abandoned.
