The Optimists had a great time working with Troop 222 to rebuild the deck at Feld Park as part of an Eagle Scout project! We worked hand in hand and taught them a lot about proper building. They were quick learners and awesome workers! We were the good kind of tired as we looked at the work we did with those kids! Thanks to everyone who came out to help! Little Woodrow's Bellaire has chose the Bellaire Optimist Club as their nonprofit to support for the season of giving in December! Join us on Wednesday, December 16th for some delicious Optimist BBQ! Plus, all month long, if you swing by and grab a Karbach Yule Shoot Your Eye Out, we’ll get 50¢ from every one sold! The support will help us fund our youth & children’s activities in the future! Our Optimists and Octagons at the Bellaire Unity March today! It is important to be an advocate for those in your community who face discrimination and to come together as a community to celebrate life. It does not matter what color you are, what background you come from, what sexuality you are, what religion you practice, where you live, etc, humans should be kind to one another. The Bellaire Optimists stand against racism and discrimination of any kind, and we hope to inspire future generations to do the same.

Attention friends! These kids really need our help! We all saw how the kids showing animals were effected by the shutdown of rodeo and now we’ve got that same problem a little closer to home. The Bellaire FFA is having to hold their annual auction online this year. They just aren’t getting the bids they need! A pig that usually goes for $2000-$4000 is sitting at $300. Many kids have no bids at all! You can help them out by putting in a bid or if you don’t want to buy an animal you can do an add-on to a kid that hasn’t gotten what their animal should go for. Consider helping these kids out! It goes to support their college education! Much love in these hard times. Stay Optimistic!

Optimists had a productive day repairing the deck at Feld Park today! We replaced missing/loose boards and rebuilt an old bench to ensure its safe for the kids using the field!
