Students compete by writing an essay expressing their thoughts on a patriotic theme!

🎤 VOICE OF DEMOCRACY (Grades 9–12)
Students create an audio essay sharing their thoughts on democracy and patriotism!

The Belington VFW 410 post auxiliary attended the elementary school September 11 ceremony. We also had a ceremony that evening at the post home. We focused not on the events itself, we focused on the people that were lost.

The 55th AMU was created in 1981 as part of the Combat Orientated Maintenance Organization to replace centralized 20th TFW aircraft maintenance with a new squadron based organization. The 55th AMU consisted of approximately 220 technicians. These included crew chiefs who were responsible for launching and recovering aircraft, general airframe repair, and engine and hydraulic systems maintenance; radar, electronic countermeasures, environmental control systems, electrical and weapons control systems, communications etc.; mu*****ns loading and weapon release system maintenance; crew debriefing; aircraft scheduling; supply support; analysis of trends and aircraft generation (AGE) support.
