During this trek with Maine Master Naturalist Liz Koucky, we will follow the high-gradient rocky brook up to its source, a kettle-hole bog and its surrounding wetland. We will ‘rock-hop’, stopping to observe fast-moving water flow under melting snow and ice formations. The view from this small pond features Round Top, Sanders Hill, and Robers Hill in the Kennebec Highlands. This activity is intended for experienced hikers, and requires balance and agility. The approximate total distance for this trip is 1.5 miles.
