The Belfry American Legion will have a spot set up for the kids to have a water fight. We will have some water canons but feel free to bring your own sq**rt guns from home. We will also have giant bubble making. Bring a towel and some extra clothes!!

In a major victory for veterans last April, the U.S. Supreme Court decided in Rudisill v. McDonough that veterans who qualify for both Montgomery GI Bill and Post-9/11 GI Bill through separate periods of service may use either one, in any order, for up to four years. The American Legion, with the support of their litigation partner, the national law firm Veterans Disability Lawyers: Bergmann & Moore, LLC, played a key role in the successful outcome of the case.
Under the updated policy, eligible veterans can now qualify for up to 48 months of total GI Bill benefits. Flag collection boxes are finally here. You can drop off your unserviceable flags at the rec center, Edelweiss, or at the Silvertip in Belfry. We will schedule a flag burning ceremony as soon as we have enough flags and the weather cooperates. We will continue to hold ceremonies throughout the year as needed.
