Just an update to interested theater people: It’s obviously been a long couple of years for everyone, particularly for theaters trying to provide live entertainment. With all the uncertainty, it’s taken its toll. Through this all the Belfast Maskers have flourished.

Ten years ago I started Midcoast Theater Company to fill the gap left when the Maskers lost their waterfront theater building and there seemed a need for another theatrical opportunity. Since then, the Maskers have found a new theater space, artistic director, and are once again producing highly successful seasons, loved by the community that’s supported them for over 30 years.

I don’t know what the future holds for MTC, but for now we are on hiatus, with no plans for producing live theater in 2022, besides our summer theater camp. Thank you all for a great decade of over 30 productions!
